Closet Lane is an independent editorial site about conscious wardrobes. We research how garments are made, how fibres behave, which brands' sustainability claims actually hold up, and which habits keep a wardrobe useful for longer. We are not a shop and we do not sell anything directly — every purchase link on the site sends you to the retailer or brand that sells the item.

The archive is organised into six sections:
- Buying Guides — How to choose the pieces worth owning — comparisons, category guides and the staples that earn a long-term place in a wardrobe.
- Brands We Trust — Sustainable brands reviewed and recommended — what they make, how they're held, and whether the claim holds up.
- Style & Outfits — Capsule wardrobes, outfit formulas and how to buy less but better — without giving up how things look.
- Care & Repair — Washing, mending and storage that extend a garment's life — the cheapest, lowest-impact upgrade there is.
- Material & Labels — Fibres, composition tags and what 'sustainable' actually means on a label — decoded before you buy.
Editorial independence
Recommendations are based on documented criteria — fibre content, construction, fee schedules, repairability — not on commission potential. When a page earns us a referral fee, that relationship is disclosed on the page and in our Affiliate Disclosure. We do not accept free products in exchange for coverage, and we do not let commercial partners review or approve our writing before publication.
